Jeweoldang
霽月堂
'The serene glow of the moon, illuminating the sky after the rain'
Jeweoldang is a beautifully restored traditional Korean hanok that was once the official residence of a county magistrate during the Joseon Dynasty and later served as a school during the Japanese colonial period.
Originally located in Wonho-ri, Muan County, South Jeolla Province,
it was relocated to its current site in 2010 to prevent demolition.
This elegant hanok features simple square pillars, graceful rooflines, and antique hanok doors that evoke a sense of history.
The spacious grand hall offers breathtaking panoramic views of Jongnam Mountain through eight korean traditional windows.
Enjoy the cool mountain breeze on the grand hall during the day, and in the evening, relax under the clear moonlight.
